- On the Build page in the bottom right-hand quadrant you will see the Constructs option box containing the five types of construct: conditions, loops, questions, sequences and statements. Notice , under Constructs notice that one sequence has already been entered. This is the top sequence or title of the questionnaire.
- Click on Constructs.Click
- Select Add New + on the grey bar just below the black dot on the left-hand side.A , a Construct Type option box will appear.
- Click Sequence to add a sequence.
- A Add a label for your sequence in the Label field appears on the right-hand side. Give your new Sequence a name relating to the questionnaire you are entering. This is the first sequence after the top sequence and should identify the questionnaire clearly. This is usually the prefix of the questionnaire, for example: alspac_91_pq.
- All other constructs should be inside this first sequence.
- Click Save to save your new sequence.
- The next construct(s) that might need to be entered is one or more Statements such as the title of the questionnaire and an introduction. If so, go to instructions on how to Add Statements .
- Otherwise continue with creating any section sequences using the prefix as the parent. These will sit positioning them inside the prefix.
- Click Add New + on the grey bar again.
- Give your new Sequence Add the sequence Label the name which is in the questionnaire, sequence text for example ‘Section A’ . Refer to the labelling guide for naming Sequences.Click Saveand click Save.
- Repeat is required.
- You can also view your new Sequences question construct in the View screen. Select the prefix of your questionnaire in the breadcrumb at the top of the page. This is useful for reviewing the entry.
- Return to the Build screen by selecting the option from the breadcrumb.
