- On the Build page, under Constructs notice that one sequence has already been entered. This is the top sequence or title of the questionnaire.
- Click Constructs.
- Select the white black + sign in the blue grey square on the right hand corner of the page, a Construct Type option side of the construct you wish to nest your sequence within. A 'Click to select construct type' box will appear.
- Note: for adding additional sequences this may be at the bottom of the questionnaire.
- Click Sequence to add a sequence.
Add a label for your sequence in the Label field. This is the first sequence after the top sequence and should identify the questionnaire clearly. This is usually the prefix of the questionnaire, for example alspac_91_pq.
- All other constructs should be inside this first sequence.
Click
SaveSubmit to save your new sequence.
The next construct(s) that may need to be entered is one or more statements such as the title of the questionnaire and an introduction. If so, go to instructions on how to Statements .
Otherwise continue with creating any section sequences, positioning them inside the prefix.
Click the
whiteblack + sign in the
bluegrey square on the right
hand sideagain.
Add the sequence Label which is the sequence text, for example ‘Section A’ and click
SaveSubmit.
Repeat as required.
You can also view your new question construct in the View screen. Select the prefix of your questionnaire in the breadcrumb at the top of the page. This is useful for reviewing the entry.
Return to the Build screen by selecting the option from the breadcrumb.
To delete a construct you will need to click on the label and select Delete from the options provided on the right hand side of the page. You may need to refresh the page for the construct to disappear.
