Locating and joining a session

To join a session:

  • Navigate to the relevant Moodle module page and locate the Collaborate activity;
  • Click the 'Join session' button to launch the Collaborate session (image 1).

If guest access has been enabled for a session you may be provided with a URL starting https://eu.bbcollab.com/guest. Paste this link into a web browser address bar and enter your name when prompted to do so.

Configuring your device for a session

When you join a session you will be prompted by your web browser to allow Collaborate to use your device's microphone and camera (images 2 and 3). If this is the case please click allow, and note that the request prompt may look different dependent on the web browser you use.

Once your browser has received confirmation you may be prompted by Collaborate to select an audio and video device. Select your audio device from the dropdown list. A video device is optional. If you are asked to test their setup click 'Yes, it's working'.

Accessing a Collaborate tutorial

You should now have access to the Collaborate session. The first time you access a session you will be presented with a tutorial (image 4) but this can be accessed at any time via the session menu on the top left and 'Tell me about Collaborate'.
