Qualtrics output (.qsf) is loaded into Colectica Designer in order to export a DDI 3.2 fragment XML file. Note that questions grids need to be removed from the .qsf before this can be loaded correctly in Colectica Designer. Colectica Designer flags where these issues are, then the grids are removed from the .qsf file. Steps can be followed here.
The exported XML file is then parsed into tables using parse_genscot_qualitrcs_xml
...
before loading into Archivist using archivist_insert.
Ensure the question labels match those in the Word document, not the QIDs listed in the XML file. Label question items that come from grids after the unique individual item label, rather than the overarching question label.
Make sure that condition labels and logic reflect this labelling convention.
All of the ‘Q’s in the statement and question labels can be removed by Hayley in the backend of Archivist to avoid duplicating the question reference.
All questions which were originally question grids, need to be entered manually.
