Text answers for insufficiently defined numerics

Temperature

For a temperature numeric answer to be created, the question must specify the unit of measurement (e.g. Fahrenheit, Celsius). If the unit is unspecified, then a text answer labelled ‘Temperature’ is created (see Example 1).

In the example below, the column label for ‘Age when injured’ specifies ‘(in years and months)’. It is unclear how the response might be expressed; it could be numeric or alphanumeric. A text answer labelled ‘Age’ is created to accommodate the possibility of an alphanumeric answer.
