How to Use the Panopto Mobile App

This guide will walk you through the key features of the Panopto mobile app, helping you access and manage your video content on the go — including how to record, upload, and submit video assessments.

Downloading and Logging In

Download the App

Go to the App Store (for iOS) or Google Play Store (for Android), search for “Panopto”, and download the official app.

Sign In

• Open the Panopto app on your device.

• Tap the “Sign In” button.

• When prompted, enter your institution’s name or URL. Start typing, e.g., “UCL” or “University College London”, and select it from the list.

• You’ll be redirected to your university’s Single Sign-On (SSO) page.

• Log in using your usual university credentials (username and password).

Navigating the App

The app has three main sections at the bottom of the screen:

Open

Home

This is the first screen you’ll see after logging in. It shows:

• What’s New

• Featured Videos (set by your institution)

• Continue Watching – jump back into videos you’ve started

My Stuff

Shows videos you’ve bookmarked, added notes to, or downloaded.

Browse

Allows you to navigate through folders you have access to, just like in the desktop version.
