Reviewing with PeerMark

Reviewing with PeerMark

If you are asked to review your peers' work via the PeerMark Turnitin tool, then you will need to follow these steps.

  1. Submit your own assignment to the Turnitin submission inbox as required, in the usual way (see Guidance for students submitting work to Turnitin via Moodle).

  2. Once the PeerMark Start Date has passed you will be able to review other students' work.

  3. Go into the Turnitin submission inbox, and click the inconspicuous green icon 'Launch Peermark Review'.

  4. Click the PeerMark Reviews icon which displays on the right-hand side.

1 - your name and the title of the assignment.
2 - title of the submission (which may be anonymous).
3 - questions for the reviewer to answer.
4 - word limits for review responses.
5 - options to view or hide the questions.
6 - click the Tools link to leave different kinds of comments.
7 - examples of different kinds of comments.
8 - the status of your review.
9 - a list of the comments you have given.
10 - Click Save to return later / click Submit to complete the review.

Click Save if you need to save before you've finished, and click Submit only when you have completed your review.

Don't forget - you need to click Submit in order for Turnitin to recognise your review as complete. (Clicking 'Save' simply allows you to save an incomplete review and return later).

  1. If you haven't submitted your saved review you can edit it before the Due Date.
To do so, go to the Peermark Reviews, click on the blue edit pencil icon next to the review you would like to edit, then edit your review. You will be unable to edit a review after the Due Date.

If you have any concerns about peer marking, please consult your tutor.
