Panopto will replace Lecturecast starting in September 2025. To prepare for this transition, in-room scheduled lecture capture will not be available from 28th April 2025. 

Below you can find guidance regarding lecture capture during the downtime period.

What you need to know:

  • Scheduled lecture capture will not be available from 28th April 2025.

  • The in-room scheduled recording downtime period to replace AV equipment will take place throughout term 3 & 4.

  • Cameras and microphones are not impacted. You can manually record lectures.

  • Lecture recordings created after 31 March 2025 will not be migrated to Panopto in September 2025. New recordings will have to be downloaded and then re-uploaded to Panopto.

  • The Lecturecast platform will remain available to staff & students until August 2025.
