Where to store your lecture recordings
Everyone at UCL has access to basic file storage, but you can request an account if you need specialist support for large data volumes, high performance computing, or for secure storage of data according to legal requirements:
OneDrive: 100GB of cloud storage provided by Microsoft for personal storage and collaboration with others.
How to access OneDrive:
The recommended method to access your OneDrive is to sign-in via your web browser.
Visit the OneDrive portal and sign in using the same username and password as your email account (e.g. userID@ucl.ac.uk).
Click on “My Files” in the left-hand corner.
Click on “Add New” and then create a folder where you will upload your downloaded lecture recordings:
Open your newly created folder. Click on “Add New” and then “Files Upload”. Upload your lecture recordings from Lecturecast (Echo360) in order to backup your files on OneDrive:
Other storage options:
S Drive: 200GB of shared storage space on the Filestore@UCL service. Save team/department files here when collaborating with colleagues:
SharePoint: Web-based collaboration and storage space. Create, edit and share content between colleagues. Ideal for collaborating on upcoming projects or as a location to document operational tasks.
