Large File Submission plugin
What is it?
The Large Submission File plugin within Moodle enables students to upload files of up to 40GB as part of a Moodle assignment. It allows staff to configure assessments that require larger file uploads, and students can submit files in any format, including CAD files, PDFs, and multimedia content.
Why use it?
o It simplifies the process for students when they need to upload large files.
o Some assignments genuinely require big uploads (e.g., multimedia content, high‑resolution images, software projects). The Large Submission File plugin is ideal for handling theses, portfolios, and multimedia work.
Who can use it?
o Available to all students and staff on UCL Moodle, for all Moodle courses.
o It can be configured by Course Administrators or Tutors.
