Portfolios

e.g. MyPortfolio, Google Drive, Evernote

As student's become increasing independent learners, they need a place to reflect on their learning and manage their activities for both themselves and to share with others, including peers and teachers.

Here are some tools that can be used to manage portfolios:

  • UCL's institutional portfolio tool is called MyPortfolio (based on open source software called Mahara). It allows students and staff to create artefacts that can be kept private or shared with peers, teachers and potential employers. See: https://myportfolio.ucl.ac.uk/
  • Evernote syncs text based documents including images and audio across pretty much any device (smart phones, tablets, PCs). You can categorise notes into notebooks and it's also very easy to search: https://evernote.com/
