Changing Incorrect Answers or Rescoring a FLOWmulti exam
Scenario: the correct answer for a question was not set and this needs to be corrected post-examination so that the student responses are correctly scored. This action can also be performed before the exam takes place if you know in advance that the question scoring is incorrect (note: the Manager process described in step 7 will still need to take place after the exam).
If the actual question content needs to be corrected before the examination begins, you should edit the original assignment and create a new flow version instead. See Understanding Flow Versions for more information.
In the Authoring role, access the relevant assignment.
Click on the
Version list button and select the version of the assignment that was attached to the flow.
Click the Pencil icon for the section of the exam which contains the question(s) that need to be rescored. A message explaining the impact of modifying the scoring will be displayed, read this and click Confirm to continue.
Click Edit on the question that needs to be modified. You will now be able to change the number of points awarded, add alternative answers and/ or change the scoring method, as well as modifying distractor rationales.
Click Save, read the confirmation message and then click Confirm.
If there is more than one question that needs to be corrected, repeat these steps as needed.
If any of your changes have impacted the scoring (e.g. a question that was worth 3 marks is now worth 4, or the score was awarded for an “exact match” and this has now been switched to “partial match per response”), inform a user with Manager access to the flow that you have made the changes and ask them to complete the rescoring process for you.
