Feedback settings and assessor (marker) types
IMPORTANT: aim to have the correct feedback settings and assessor (marker) types in place before the marking period begins. You can change a marker’s custom assessor type or the default assessor type settings at any time on a non-archived flow, but these changes will not impact any existing feedback.
Sharing settings on an existing piece of feedback will need to be changed by the marker that delivered it.
Marker feedback settings and visibility
The visibility of all marker feedback (annotations, overall comments and information entered in rubrics) is determined through the use of custom assessor types.
By default, markers are given the Anonymous marker assessor type when they are added to a flow. This hides their name from students and any feedback will be shared with co-assessors only (i.e. other allocated markers and Reviewers) by default. Markers can still change the sharing settings for any individual pieces of feedback they deliver.
Changing marker feedback settings and assessor types
Important: you can change a marker’s custom assessor type or the default assessor type settings at any time on a non-archived flow, but these changes will not impact any existing feedback.
E.g. setting feedback visibility to “Private” will not make any existing annotations, overall feedback or rubrics “Private”; only subsequent feedback will be affected. Sharing settings on an existing piece of feedback will need to be changed by the marker that delivered it.
Changing feedback settings and adding/ removing assessor types at flow level
Following these steps will make changes which will impact all markers on the flow.
Access the flow and click Manage assessors under the Marking and review panel:

Further down in this panel, you can also enable other assessor types on the flow:
Changing assessor types for individual markers

Find the appropriate user in the Assessors table and click the Edit button in the Actions column:
On the Assessor type screen that appears, use the dropdown menu to select a different assessor type that has been enabled on the flow. Click Save to finish.
Tip: you can also set up an individual marker’s assessor type when you first add them to a flow:
