Deleting or Demoting an Item
Options to 
delete or 
demote an item from the content bank can be found by clicking the cog wheel icon or by selecting these options from the table of items (see Content Bank Navigation). The best and safest practice is to demote items, but the differences are explained below.
Deleting Items
If you 
delete an item from the content bank and it is linked to an assignment in WISEflow, it will remove the content from both the item bank and the assignment. If there are no standalone copies of the item on an assignment, this means that it will be deleted permanently from WISEflow with no way to recover the information.
Demoting Items
If you 
demote an item, this will remove it from the content bank but will convert any existing instances that are linked to an assignment into standalone copies.
