Creating your code list:

1. Click on Code Lists
2. Select Add new + and a new code list entry screen shall will appear.
3. Write Add a label for your code list in the Label field, in a way that corresponds to the question it is being made for. For example, our code list will be called cs_q5 because the corresponds to a question which will be labelled qc_5. See Construct a Label (ID) for more details.
4. Because your code list will be a response domain (i.e. the answer to the question) check the Response Domain tickbox.
5. In the column marked Value, enter the number or letter related to your first category . In our example, this would be 1. Next to itassigned in the questionnaire. If the questionnaire does not contain code values then numbers are assigned in ascending order. 
6. Next to the value, in the Category column, enter the corresponding option in the questionnaire – here, this would be ‘all boys’.
7. Repeat this for the rest of the list. For this question, we end up with three categories and values:  1 all boys, 2 all girls and 3 of both sexesPress
8. Click Save to save your new code list. It will now appear in the left hand list with any other code lists and can be used as a Response Domain when entering a question.
9. Return to the Build screen by selecting the option from the breadcrumb.
