Step 1: Enter code lists

Creating your code list:

1. Click on Code Lists
2. Select Add new + and a new code list entry screen shall appear.
3. Write a label for your code list in the Label field, in a way that corresponds to the question it is being made for. For example, our code list will be called cs_q5 because the question will be labelled qc_5.
4. Because your code list will be a response domain (i.e. the answer to the question) check the Response Domain tickbox.
5. In the column marked Value, enter the number related to your first category. In our example, this would be 1. Next to it, in the Category column, enter the corresponding option in the questionnaire – here, this would be ‘all boys’.
6. Repeat for the rest of the list. For this question, we end up with three categories and values:  1 all boys, 2 all girls and 3 of both sexes
7. Press Save to save your new code list. It will now appear in the left hand list with other code lists.
8. Return to the Build screen by selecting the option from the breadcrumb.
