Q: What are the major differences between Moodle 3.11 and 4.2?
A: Your course content and the types of activities available in Moodle won't change. The changes mostly concern user experience and theme for the new UCL Moodle.

Functionalities and Features
Q: Can I choose the content displayed on my Course Index in Moodle 4.2?
A. No this is not suppoerte. At this stage, all course activity and resource types, including Text and Media area will be automatically shown on the Course Index.
Q: Is Moodle 4.2 compatible with all course formats?
Yes, based on our tests, Moodle 4.2 works with all course formats. However, you may need to adjust some page elements. To ensure compatibility, we recommend testing your course format in our Demo platform.
Training and Support:
Is there any training available for Moodle 4.2?
Yes, you can request trainer-led sessions through your FLTL or use our self-paced online course [here] (add link).
Demo Environment:
Am I able to update my course in the demo environment? No, the demo environment is reset every two weeks. Therefore, any changes you make will be lost
Course Rollover
Should I wait for the Moodle 4.2 upgrade before rolling over my course? It's not necessary to wait. You may choose to rollover your course prior to the upgrade to prepare or update content for the next academic year. Alternatively, you may rollover your course after the upgrade, which will allow you to familiarize yourself with the new interface and navigation while updating your course.
