In TI2, We reviewed the context freezing functionality and established it met our needs. One bug with a specific plugin was also identified which we will address.

We will implement an automated process which will allow context freezing to be automatically applied to courses, after:

course end date
LSA - Late Summer Assessment
x weeks (to be defined)

Courses can be frozen/unfrozen by category admins so departments can do this manually if desired. We could expand the permission to different roles.

We should implement to that extent and replay to FLTs/departments and explore which manual options beyond this would truly be required.

We also need to provide clear visual cues that the course is frozen.
