What is it?

This resource allows you to create 'Lightbox' enabled image galleries within your Moodle course. Small thumbnails will then be generated, which are used for the thumbnail view of the gallery.  

Why use it?

 Allows you to create a visually engaging Moodle course, and students can contribute to the images when the correct settings are applied.

Course administrators and tutors can create, edit and delete galleries and delegate edit rights to students if they choose.

  1. Turn editing on and from the add an activity or resource dropdown, select Lightbox Gallery resource
  2. Add a name or description 
  3. Click Add images and select the images from your computer

How to add more images or edit existing?

  1. To add more images select add image in the bottom left corner
  2. To edit existing images, Turn editing on

  3. This will bring up the choose box that lists the below options
    1. Caption - Allows you to rename the image - make sure you click the update button when you have finished
    2. Delete - Removed the image from the gallery
    3. Flip - You can flip the image either vertically or horizontally
    4. Resize - Change the size of the image either by Dimensions or Scale
    5. Rotate - Allows you to rotate for the image by 90°, 180° or -90°
    6. Tag - Adding a tag makes searching for an image easier
    7. Thumbnail - You will be able to adjust the left or right the portion of the image that will be displayed as the thumbnail
  4. Click "Back to Gallery" to save

Once you can edit or delete the individual photos by clicking Turn editing on.
