  • Load testing preparation (spike) - https://ucldata.atlassian.net/browse/CTP-2656

    • What: Vendor discussions and spike

    • Why: It is critical that we have robust solutions to measure and ensure that UCL systems are provisioned correctly and can respond to increases in load. We also require a solution that can be replicated and used to benchmark our solution and to measure against specific scenarios (eg assessment load).

    • Dependency: ? / Risk: ?

Create and deliver staff training on the new version of Moodle 4.2 - Image RemovedCTP-1988: Create and deliver staff training on the new version of Moodle 4.2

  • What: To deliver the change from Moodle 3.11 to Moodle 4.2 this summer, the VLE team need to provide training materials in several areas for Teaching Staff and Administrative staff. Since the VLE team does not have the resources to implement this fully, the team will be working with external partners to produce the materials and with a feature lead/coordinator to ensure that training is delivered on time. The approach we will be taking is to construct a core training package for staff on the new and changed features between 3.11 and 4.0/4.1/4.2. We will create a train-the-trainer programme so that FLTL's, departmental learning technologists and others can be trained in the changes and the materials so that they can deliver the training in their departments/faculties.

  • Moodle 4.2 Accessibility review - Image RemovedCTP-1986: Moodle 4.2 Accessibility review

    • What: Conduct reviews into various accessibility elements in association with the Head of Digital Accessibility. Create a generic Moodle 4.2 accessibility statement that could be used by other institutions. Create a UCL specific accessibility statement as a separate section. Work with Titus, Catalyst and internal teams to resolve any accessibility issues identified.
    • Why: The move to Moodle 4.2 requires us to rewrite the Moodle accessibility statement. This will be done in conjunction with Ben Watson Head of Digital Accessibility.
