What: Vendor discussions and spike
Why: It is critical that we have robust solutions to measure and ensure that UCL systems are provisioned correctly and can respond to increases in load. We also require a solution that can be replicated and used to benchmark our solution and to measure against specific scenarios (eg assessment load).

What: Codebase and testing / Upskill Nikola and Matthis on upgrade/deployment
Why: Moodle is UCL’s core teaching and learning platform. We need to ensure that the platform is maintained and upgraded to ensure that it continues to offer the best experience to our stakeholders. Upgrading the platform ensures we have the latest features and fixes in place. Moodle 4.3 specifically has large scale performance enhancements and additons to the quiz feature.

Why: Day to day operational support and monitoring is essential to maintain a complex system such as Moodle and ensure value for stakeholders.
