Below is draft guidance from ELE on the several anonymous marking scenarios with Turnitin afforded by UCL's draft Marking Policy. UCLBE is requested to give attention to the requests for clarification within it. We begin with Turnitin since it is widely used, but plan to provide similar support for Moodle Assignment. We expect the guidance to evolve in response to suggestions from departments, developments with Turnitin, and unanticipated interpretations of the marking policy. We therefore propose to make it available as a UCL Wiki page in the Moodle Resource Centre, which affords us version-control and responsive changes. Finally, the guidance is concerned with planning and as such is at quite a high level; elsewhere ELE provides more detailed instructions about how to set up and operate Turnitin.
