The LSM900 is a point scanning laser confocal with Airyscan 2 on an inverted Axio Observer Z1 microscope stand. It has 405, 488, 561 and 640 lasers.  It is equipped with 2 GaSP detectors as well as an Airyscan.  The Airyscan 2 is capable of better resolution than conventional confocal imaging, and software for 3D photo reassignment as well as SR-2Y and CO-2Y which uses the Airyscan to scan at 2x the normal speed.
