The Social Provision Scale (SPS) (Cutrona & Russell, 1987) is a 24-item scale designed to measure social provision, which encompasses attachment, social integration, reassurance of worth, reliable alliance, guidance, and opportunity for nurturance. Different versions of the scale have been created which include a subset of the original 24 items.
