The LSM880 LSM900 is a combined point scanning laser confocal and multiphoton with Airyscan 2 on an inverted Axio Observer Z1 microscope stand. In addition to visible lasers for confocal imaging the system has an infrared Ti Sapphire laser for multiphoton excitation of fluorescence within deep and scattering specimens and an optical parametric oscillator (OPO) to extend the wavelengths accessible to multiphoton imaging. The microscope also has an Airyscan detector, which It has 405, 488, 561 and 640 lasers.  It is equipped with 2 GaSP detectors as well as an Airyscan.  The Airyscan 2 is capable of better resolution than conventional confocal imaging, and software and hardware for fluorescence correlation spectroscopy (FCS).for 3D photo reassignment as well as SR-2Y and CO-2Y which uses the Airyscan to scan at 2x the normal speed.

Note
titleAttention

Always leave the key on the side of the keypad in the horizontal orientation, even when the system is powered down. Otherwise the lasers and other components won't work. See the quick start guide for more information.turn on the Laser Module (LM) key and wait until you hear the 4-tone ascending series of beeps before switching on the computer.
