Your students can interact with users in other VLEs without having to grant them access to UCL Moodle.

Caution
If you share your course with an external institution though, they will need to sign a non-disclosure agreement and abide by EU data protection laws (so the location of VLE hosting may be an issue is in such cases), since UCL Moodle usage information will be shared with the other institution.
