GFP3 consists of a Nikon Ti inverted microscope stand with LED light sources for fluorescence illumination (CoolLED pE-300) and transmitted light illumination (pE-100) and a Nikon DS-Qi2 high sensitivity scientific CMOS camera with a 1608 x 1608 pixel chip to capture large fields of view. Several fluorescent filter sets are available for the microscope. The standard sets include DAPI, GFP, Texas Red and Cy5. There are also sets for CFP and YFP. See the link to fluorescence filters in Technical Specifications on the left. Not all the sets will necessarily be installed on the microscope at the same time because there are only six positions in the fluorescence turret. Please ask a member of light microscopy staff if you need to use a filter that is not currently installed.
