 Technical information and user guides

Location: MRC Building, Room G.08

The SoRa is a super-resolution microscope that captures instant structured illumination images using a confocal spinning disc design. This makes it more suitable for imaging motile live specimens than other super-resolution microscopes. A full complement of high resolution objective lenses are available for the microscope, including a high NA oil, water and silicone immersion lenses to match the refractive indices of all specimens. The microscope stand has an Okolab heating and cooling incubator to provide the ideal temperature for a wide range of model organisms. The imaging system also comes with a laser scanner for various photomanipulation tasks, including UV photoablation.

Use for: Live super-resolution time-lapse and photomanipulation.
