The Zeiss ELYRA PS.1 at the UCL MRC Laboratory of Molecular Cell Biology.
GENERAL INFORMATION
The Zeiss ELYRA PS.1 is capable of both Structured Illumination Microscopy (SIM) and Photo-Activation Localisation Microscopy (PALM). In addition it can be configured for dSTORM, standard TIRF and wide-field microscopy applications. The microscope stage is enclosed in a blacked-out chamber for laser safety reasons and to maintain thermal stability. Super-resolution imaging is recommended and optimal at ambient temperature, but stage-top incubation equipment for live cell imaging applications is available. Multi-colour super-resolution imaging is also possible. The microscope is equipped with four laser lines 405, 488, 561 and 642 nm.
