Shut Down Procedure for TCS SP5

1. Exit the software by selecting 'Exit' from the File menu.
2. Shut down Windows by selecting the shut-down option from the 'Start' menu in the bottom-left corner.
3. Once Windows has shut down, switch off the 'PC Microscope' and 'Scanner Power' buttons on the main switchboard.
4. Turn the key from On to Off but leave the 'Laser Power' button on. A fan cools the Argon laser for ten minutes after shut-down. Switching the Laser POwer button off switches off the fan.
5. Switch off the EL6000 fluorescent light source. This can be done at any point as the light source is not electronically connected to the system.
6. Wipe any immersion medium off the objectives you've used.
7. Cover the microscope with its dust sheet.
8. After ten minutes, switch off the Laser Power button on the main switchboard
