What is it?

Date manager is a one-page report that allows the viewing and editing of dates and names associated with the more common date-sensitive activities in Moodle. The report includes:

  • Moodle assignments
  • Turnitin assignments
  • Quizzes
  • Moodle Workshops

Why use it?

Date manager brings activity dates together on one page, it's a quick and simple way to review and amend them. It's particularly useful for courses that have large numbers of date-sensitive activities distributed across many different topic areas or tabs where it's time consuming to locate and check names and dates individually.

Additionally the report includes direct links to the settings pages of listed activities where, if necessary, other activity details can be changed. Note these links are called Add restricted access or Edit restricted access but they both link to an activity's general settings.

How do I set one up?

No set-up is required. Date manager can be found within any course's Administration block by expanding the Reports link.

Caution

The report allows activities to be filtered by type i.e. you can select just quizzes, just Turnitin assignments etc. If you make edits and change the filter selection before saving, your changes will be lost.
