Plus sign iconWhen  requesting a new Moodle course, there are 3 options to choose from, listed below. Please make sure to provide the module code (if applicable) and a course title.

Based on a Departmental Template Department-based templates or the Blank Connected Learning Baseline Module template are predefined in Moodle to be used as a shell for any new course. 
  1. Go to the Moodle new course request web form .

Blank Digital Education Baseline Module template (formerly Connected Learning Baseline Module Template)This option is primarily used for the creation of new course templates (if a department template does not exist), or used for testing for the Getting Started with Moodle and Administering your Moodle Course sites. 
  1. Go to the Moodle new course request web form.
  2. Once you have filled out the form with all the required details, click Submit.

Based on a Duplicate of an existing course


This option is used to receive a copy of an existing course. (Whenever possible staff should use the Course Rollover Tool to duplicate their courses).
  1. Go to the Moodle new course request web form.
  2. Once you have filled out the form with all the required details, click Submit.
