DMI4000 and DMI6000 controls (LMCB Leica confocal microscopes)



The buttons on the stand control a number of settings including the illumination modes (fluorescence, bright-field, etc), aperture sizes and lamp brightness. Some of the buttons are configurable but the buttons on the front control panel and and those arranged in a cross on the left of the stand have fixed functions.

Front control panel

Button 1 and button 2 (Figure 1) switch the light path between the eyepieces and the side port respectively. The light path state is indicated on the LeicaScreen in the fourth row down (Figure 2). If the fluorescent of bright-field illumination is on but you can't see anything down the eyepieces then check the screen and press button 1 accordingly.
