Marking with PeerMark
If you are asked to mark your peers work via the Turnitin tool, PeerMark then you will need to follow these steps.
Submit your own assignment to the Turnitin submission inbox as required, in the usual way (see guidance on submitting work to Turnitin).
Once the PeerMark Start Date has passed you will be able to start marking other students' work.
Go into the Turnitin submission inbox, and click the inconspicuous green icon 'Launch Peermark Review' on the right hand side, around the middle of the screen; a new popup window displays the PeerMark Reviews manager.
In the pop-up window select Write Reviews; a menu displays with 1 option - Start a review - click this option.
This will then launch the grading interface, which has the following:
1 - your name and the title of the assignment.
2 - title of the submission (which may be anonymous).
3 - questions for the reviewer to answer.
4 - word limits for the reviewer's answers.
5 - different ways to view the questions.
6 - click the Tools link to leave different kinds of comments.
7 - examples of different kinds of comments.
8 - the status of your review.
9 - a list of the comments you have given.
10 - attention:
Note that you need to click Submit to complete a review in a way which Turnitin and your assessor recognise (Save allows you to save incomplete reviews).
Click Save if you need to save before you've finished, and click Submit when you are finished
Don't forget - you need to click Submit in order for Turnitin to recognise your review as complete.
To edit a review (before the Due Date), you scroll down the Peermark Reviews manager, you click on (if you haven't yet submitted it) the blue Edit This Submission icon, or (if you have already submitted) the green Resubmit This Review icon.
If you have any concerns about peer marking then you should consult your tutor.
