Location: Room 1.11, MRC Building The LSM880 is a combined confocal and multiphoton microscope with an inverted Axio Observer microscope stand. The multiphoton has a In addition to visible lasers for confocal imaging the system has an infrared Ti Sapphire laser for multiphoton excitation of fluorescence within deep and scattering specimens and an optical parametric oscillator (OPO) that allows imaging at longer wavelengths than would be possible with the Ti Sapphire aloneto extend the wavelengths accessible to multiphoton imaging. The microscope also has an Airyscan detector, which is capable of better resolution than conventional confocal imaging, and software and hardware for fluorescence correlation spectroscopy (FCS). Use for: Multiphoton microscopy, laser ablation, fluorescence correlation spectroscopy. Note |

| Always leave the key on the side of the keypad in the horizontal orientation, even when the system is powered down. Otherwise the lasers and other components won't work. See the quick start guide for more information. |
