Key Information
With Moodle 4 deployment now being delayed to Summer 2023, we will need to focus on two specific aspects for this engagement piece. The first is the features that will be released with the 3.11.x upgrade in March, these will be all features from our current version of Moodle. The second is establishment of stakeholder group(s) and regular communication to our user base in line with an available published Moodle "live" roadmap. This feature may cross over with other comm's stories for other TI elements. However this Feature should be the master where possible for these activities.
Focus on the 3.11 features - we will aim for 3.11.x upgrade to happen in March release - Moodle 3.11.6 - Annual Upgrade
In Scope
- Review 3.9.x-3.11.x features
- Engage with Digitial Education support teams including as required those teams located in OVPESE and faculty to keep them informed of the upgrade path for Moodle
- Decide which new features we need to turn on & document them (this includes all features from current production version as listed below)
- Identify Documentation that will be required to be updated before Moodle 3.11.x deployment
- Draft a plan on updating identified documentation including the use of non-product team (eg DESA's)
- Consider support team requirements for updated
- Create a regular monthly news letter for Mooodle (blog or additional to ed. newsletter
