Feedback Tracker report

Feedback Tracker report

This guide is intended for students. Staff should refer to the Feedback tracker miniguide.

The Feedback Tracker report shows students all their assessments on Moodle in one easy page, including whether an assessment has feedback, and whether it is formative or summative.

You can navigate to your own Feedback Tracker report via the Feedback block on the left your dashboard, or by clicking on your profile picture, top right of any page.

The Feedback tracker report allows you to better understand the variety of feedback provided, and draw ties between different assessments and modules.
It also allows students and teachers to see the status of submissions and feedback. This will allow you to see where feedback is pending, and check in with your tutors about any overdue feedback.

The block gives you direct access to your recent assessments, plus links to submissions and any feedback that has been returned via Moodle. It highlights recent feedback but also allows you to view all your feedback for the current academic year through a link: "Feedback tracker".

You will only see the feedback block when you have recent feedback. If you can’t see the Feedback block, you can still access the Feedback tracker by clicking on your user profile menu, and then Feedback tracker.

If you cannot see grades and feedback in the Feedback tracker report, this could be for a number of reasons. Check with your Course / Programme Administrator in the first instance.

Under Submission, you will see:

  • Submitted (green) = you submitted before the assessment due date.

  • Submitted late (yellow) = you submitted after the assessment due date.

  • Overdue (red) = you have not submitted and the assessment due date has passed.

Feedback Due is based upon the UCL’s academic policy requirement that feedback should be delivered within 20 UCL working days excluding all UCL holidays.

Feedback Status Indicator will display:

  • Released (green) = Feedback has been released within 20 working days from the assessment due date.

  • Released late (yellow) = Feedback has been released but it took longer than 20 working days from the assessment due date.

  • Overdue (red) = Feedback has not been released and more than 20 working days has passed from the assessment due date.

Under Mark you will see whether an assessment is:

  • Summative: counts towards course mark.

  • Formative: does not contribute to course mark.
