Formative assessment & feedback

Moodle quizzes are commonly used to help students learn course materials without the marks counting towards their final grades. This is known as formative assessment. An important element of formative assessment is providing rich feedback (video, links, further readings) to help students understand their mistakes, as well as confirming their understanding when they get an answer correct.
