Important Update!

New ‘Suspended’ student Moodle course enrolment status

The introduction of the 'Suspended' student enrolment status within Moodle will ensure that students are no longer unenrolled from a Moodle course when disassociated with it in Portico. Students will instead have their Moodle enrolment status set to ‘Suspended’. Students who show as suspended on a Moodle course will be unable to access that course.

Portico mappings will no longer be globally deactivated!

This process will eliminate the need for the global deactivation of Portico mappings which was previously carried out six weeks into each term, to prevent students with grades from being unenrolled from Moodle courses. 

Availability of Portico delivery mappings
Going forward Moodle courses will only accommodate Portico delivery mappings of the current academic year to ensure that Portico enrolments reflect only the current academic year’s student cohort. 

Portico Mappings were last globally deactivated in Moodle on 26 February, 2025.
